A few months ago, I switched from another insurance provider and started both my auto and home policies with your agency. Fernanda assisted us with the process. Initially, we scheduled the home policy to begin on a future date, but later decided to start it earlier. Before making the change, I specifically asked Fernanda to confirm whether this adjustment would affect the price. I made it clear that I would only proceed if the price remained the same.
Fernanda later emailed me confirming she had spoken with the underwriter and that the premium would not change. However, about a month later, I noticed an increase of approximately $500 in the premium. When I reached out to Fernanda for clarification, she dismissed her prior statement, despite the fact that I have the email as evidence.
I informed her that I intended to report the issue, to which she responded indifferently, stating I could contact State Farm or the agency owner—she simply didn’t care. This response was unprofessional and unacceptable.
This entire experience has been extremely disappointing. Fernanda’s negligence directly cost me $500, and I now regret switching to State Farm. While the agency was very attentive during the initial onboarding process, the service since then has been poor. Emails and phone calls go unanswered, and the lack of accountability is concerning.
I will be switching agencies as soon as possible and cannot, in good conscience, recommend this agency to others.
